Welcome, my friend, to computing as it was meant to be experienced.
What Makes a Mac a Mac?
A Mac is as much about getting the job done as it is about having a great time doing it. Macs are
built for speed, looks, durability, functionality, and plain old ???coolness.??? Nobody designs a better
computer, inside and out, top to bottom, than Apple??”period.
Macs are well known for the stability and dependability of their hardware, as well as their
software??™s legendary ease of use. What makes the Mac so reliable and easy to use is the fact that
it is all Apple all the time. Apple designed every aspect of your Mac, from the physical shell
that houses all of its components, to the minutest detail of its interface (the stuff you see on your
computer screen).
PC manufacturers use a hodge-podge of parts from third-party manufacturers when they
build their computers, and the cheaper the parts the more likely the PC??™s reliability should be
questioned. The clich?© that ???you get what you pay for??? applies perfectly here. Apple doesn??™t
manufacture every single part that goes into your Mac, but they work very closely with any
third-party manufacturers to be sure the compatibility and dependability of the product matches
the high standards Apple and its customers have come to expect.
