"How to Do Everything: Mac"

That??™s it! Apple??™s keyboards have USB ports
on them so that you can easily connect your mouse to the keyboard, saving valuable cable length
for the mouse.
Wireless keyboards and mice aren??™t tough to set up, either. You have to install batteries
into the devices before they will work, though. Once you install the batteries, it??™s up to the
Mac to discover the keyboard and mouse when it starts up. If it does not do so, consult the
documentation that came with the mouse or keyboard for assistance.
Connect to a Power Source
I??™m sure some of you are rolling your eyes and saying, ???I know how to plug in my computer! This
guy must think I??™m an idiot!??? Well, I assure you I certainly do not think that. You were bright enough
to purchase this book, so I??™m certain you??™re capable of connecting the power cord from the Mac to
an electrical outlet. However, there is more to think about than just getting power to your Mac.
