"How to Do Everything: Mac"

?–  Statistics bar When you click an item in the sidebar or results window, the statistics
bar shows you how many items are contained inside of it and the remaining amount of
space on your hard drive.
Is the default size and shape of the Finder window not to your liking? You can change that
by clicking and dragging the bottom-right corner of the Finder window and molding it
into whatever size and shape you want.

Choose the Right View for You
As mentioned, the results window in the Finder shows you the contents of an item you have
clicked in the sidebar. The default view of the results window displays those contents as icons. If
Icon view isn??™t your cup of tea, you??™re in luck; there are three other options for viewing items in
your Finder: List view, Column view, and Cover Flow view.
To switch between views, click one of the four View icons in the toolbar of your Finder window.
List view does just what its name implies; all items in the results window are arranged in
an ordered list.
