iTunes is the default application for listening to and buying music on your
Mac, and the Music folder is where iTunes stores all those melodies.
?– Pictures When you connect your digital camera to your Mac, iPhoto can import your
photos to the computer. Those imported pictures live in this folder.
?– Public This folder is where you place files you??™d like to share with other users of the
Mac. If you have a file in the Desktop folder of your user account, other users cannot
access it. You would need to move the file to the Public folder, or place a copy of it there.
There is a folder inside of Public called Drop Box. Other users put files they may wish to
share with you into the Drop Box folder.
?– Sites You may want to create your own webpage or host a personal website. If so, this
is a convenient location for all the files you may need.
