"How to Do Everything: Mac"

The first time I
did this I had all 16 spaces enabled and populated and was zipping through them all as fast as
I could press the RIGHT ARROW key! I know that??™s childish, but don??™t begrudge me a little fun!
Careful, though, you can get a pretty mean blister if you??™re not a professional.
Organize Spaces
Press the F8 key, or click the Spaces icon in the Dock, and you see a grid showing all of your
spaces and their respective contents. Did you mistakenly open a document in one space but
need to get it to another? No problem! Click-and-drag the document you want to move from
the space it??™s in to the space you want it to be, just like the example shown in Figure 3-17.
Sweet!
CHAPTER 3: Cruisin??™: Navigating Your Mac 63
Run Widgets from the Dashboard
You??™ve seen that pressing the F8, F9, F10, and F11 keys can cause your Mac to do some pretty nifty
cartwheels, but pressing F12 may top them all. With once press of the F12 key, a whole new world
of widgets opens up on your Mac, and this world is called the Dashboard. The Dashboard allows
your Mac to run very small, but sometimes very powerful, applications called widgets.
