If none of the preset color profiles please your palette, you can make your own! Click
the Calibrate button on the Color tab, and the Display Calibrator Assistant will merrily
guide you through the process.
Change Sound Settings
Open System Preferences and click the Sound icon to change your Mac??™s sound effects, as well
as the input and output settings.
You can set your Mac??™s default system volume by using the ???Output volume??? slider at the
bottom of the Sound preferences pane. (This slider is present regardless of which tab you are
viewing in the Sound preferences pane.) Check the box next to ???Show volume in menu bar??? to
place the volume status menu icon in the menu bar; this is a much simpler way to adjust the main
system volume than opening System Preferences every time.
Click the Sound Effects tab to change your Mac??™s alert sound. The alert sound is what your
Mac uses to warn you of a potential problem or other important message.
The Output tab is where you choose what device to use for your Mac??™s sound output.
