After you enter the appropriate information for your connection
type (the information will vary based on how you are attempting to connect, such as with a DSL
modem or a cable modem), the Network Setup Assistant should be able to get you up and running.
Contact your ISP or network administrator if you have any difficulty connecting to the
Internet at this point.

Now that you??™re (hopefully) up and running on the Internet, it??™s time to play with your newfound
powers. Again, for now we??™re just going over the basics of email, web browsing, and chat (a.k.a.
instant messaging), and we??™ll delve more deeply into the subjects of web browsing and using
email in Chapters 16 and 17, respectively.
Understand Email Basics
