Click the New
Message button in the toolbar of the main Mail window.
Enter the email address of the person you??™re sending the email to, type a subject line for your
message, type the message, and click Send. Boom! You??™re officially a member of the emailing
masses.
Read an Email Message
Your next mission: read an email. Tell a friend who has email to send a message to your new
account. Click your Inbox in the Mailbox pane; your mail appears to the right, in the mail list.
Click the email in the mail list to display its contents below in the Message Viewer, as shown in
Figure 5-1.
You may find that you prefer reading messages by ???opening??? them in a separate window. To
do so, double-click the email in the mail list, which causes it to open in its own window.

Reply to an Email Message
To reply to an email you have received, just open the email and click the Reply button in the
toolbar (or choose Message | Reply). If there were other people included on the original email
and you would like for them to see your reply, click the Reply All button instead.
