"How to Do Everything: Mac"

A web site works like other windows on your Mac, so you can use the scroll arrows and
scroll bar on the right side of Safari window to move up and down the page.

110 How to Do Everything: Mac
Move your mouse pointer over the entire web page and you will notice that as the pointer
passes over certain items (pictures and some text), its icon changes to look like a small hand (is
that Michael Jackson??™s missing glove?).
The hand is giving you an indication that this picture or text is a link to another web page.
Click one of the items to see where the page leads you; typically the picture or text is clearly
indicative of what the destination page??™s contents are. To get back to the previous web page, click
the left arrow button in the upper-left corner of Safari??™s window.
You??™ve just dipped your toes into the Internet; now you??™re going to take the plunge. Check
out Apple??™s .Mac home page, by typing its address, www.
