"How to Do Everything: Mac"

mac.com, into Safari??™s address field
and pressing the RETURN key. You are transported to your new destination.
That??™s all there is to it. You??™ve now become a semiprofessional Internet surf-hound! This
little bit of information should whet your appetite for more Safari fun in Chapter 16.
Chat It Up with iChat

by typing messages back and forth. Instant messaging has been around quite a while, but it??™s
never been as easy to use as it is now, using Apple??™s iChat. iChat can do much more than just
send text back and forth, but you??™ll just have to be patient regarding the really awesome stuff,
which comes a bit later in the chapter.
CHAPTER 5: Getting Started on the Internet 111
