"How to Do Everything: Mac"


?–  iWeb You can create your own webpages with incredible ease with iWeb. iWeb is one
of the applications included in Apple??™s iLife suite, and you must have a .Mac account to
publish your webpages.
?–  Mail Mac OS X??™s default email application is Mail. Much more information on Mail is
provided in Chapters 5 and 17.
?–  Photo Booth Use Photo Booth to take funky pictures of yourself, using your Mac??™s
built-in camera.
?–  Preview Preview is a really nifty application that can open all sorts of files, including
PDFs and picture files of all sorts (JPEG, TIFF, GIF, and so on), and can take screenshots
(pictures of your computer??™s screen).
?–  QuickTime Player Use QuickTime to watch movies and listen to music. Chapter 10
will render more information about QuickTime.
?–  Safari The web browser of choice for your Mac, Safari makes surfing the Web a
breeze. See Chapter 5 for more details.
?–  Spaces Organize your work into separate spaces. Spaces was covered in more detail in
Chapter 3.
?–  Stickies Most of us have used sticky notes at some point or another.
