"How to Do Everything: Mac"

The following are four tools
that are common to all three applications, the icons for which are located on the right side of the
toolbar in each application:
?–  Inspector Open the Inspector by clicking its icon (a blue circle with an i in the middle
of it). The top row of the Inspector window lists inspectors for different tasks, giving
you most of the formatting tools for your document in one place. You can open multiple
Inspector windows by holding down the OPTION key while clicking the Inspector icon in
the top row for a particular task. This technique allows you to have multiple windows open,
such as one for text and one for graphics, to gain quick and easy access to their tools.
?–  Media Clicking the Media icon opens the Media Browser, allowing you to peruse the
contents of your Mac for items such as photos, audio, and movies. You can add these
136 How to Do Everything: Mac
elements to your documents by dragging-and-dropping them from the Media Browser
window to where you want them to reside in your document.
?–  Colors Clicking the Colors icon enables you to pick colors for your documents using
the color wheel, sliders, palettes, or crayons.
