Notice the small boxes around the border of the picture I??™ve inserted into my document in
Figure 7-5. These boxes are called selection handles, and they allow you to resize the picture by
clicking-and-dragging any one of them.
To move the picture to a different location in the document, click-and-drag the center of the
picture to move the picture to its new location.
Use Floating and Inline Objects
See how the text ???flows??? around the two pictures in Figure 7-5? The text flows around them
because they are both floating objects, as opposed to inline objects.

An inline object is embedded in a sentence or paragraph and will move along with the
text when characters are removed or added. Floating objects can be positioned anywhere
at anytime, and remain stationery on the page regardless of what manipulations you make
to the text around them.
