"How to Do Everything: Mac"


You can export your Pages documents into other formats so that the document can be opened
by people who may not have iWork installed. Choose File | Export and you will be prompted to
select from these options:
Choose PDF, Word, RTF, or Plain Text, and then click Next. Give the document a descriptive
name, select a location to save it, and then click the Export button. Exporting creates a new
document in the specified format; your original Pages document remains unchanged.
iWork Is Compatible
with Microsoft Offi ce
Documents you create in any iWork application can be exported to the corresponding
Microsoft Office formats. Pages documents can be exported to Word files, Keynote to
PowerPoint, and Numbers to Excel. What??™s even better is that iWork applications can also
open Microsoft Office documents. iWork is backward compatible with all Office versions
starting with Microsoft Office 2007.
To import these files into an iWork application, click File | Open or press z-O, browse
the Mac for the file you need, click to highlight it, and then click the Open button.
