"How to Do Everything: Mac"

CHAPTER 7: I Work, You Work, We All Work with iWork 149
Get to Know Keynote
Keynote is, in my opinion, the best presentation software going. Creating presentations with
Keynote is a breeze, and they are absolutely stunning! I??™ve used the rest, but now I only use the
best, and that??™s Keynote.
Use Keynote to make presentations for work, whether you are employed by a Fortune 500
megacorporation or are a one-person consulting firm trying to impress a new potential client.
Teachers can grab their kids??™ attention with a media-rich presentation on the solar system.
Students can add new dimensions to their school project reports with a snazzy slideshow created
with Keynote. The software is rich enough for the staunchest professional and simple enough for
a seventh-grader. Now that??™s versatility!
To open Keynote, double-click its icon in Hard Drive | Applications | iWork.
Figure 7-6 shows Keynote??™s default window, and the following list explains
several of the toolbar options labeled in Figure 7-6:
?–  New slide button Adds a new slide to the slideshow.
