Assign names to the header columns and rows and to the footer
rows. To add text to the cells, double-click the cell and start typing.
Mine looks like this:
Finally, give your table a name. Select the table, double-click Table 1 in the Sheets pane, and
then enter the desired name for your table. To see the name appear above your table, check the
Name box on the right side of the Format Bar.

Add Data to Your Table
Your table won??™t be very useful until you enter data into it. For this example, the data you enter
will be the dollar amounts spent for each expense item (gas, groceries, and so on) for every day
of the week. Double-click the cells and enter each item??™s respective dollar amounts. Your table
should look something like this:
Work with Your Data
You??™ve got data now, but what do you do with it? The whole point of a spreadsheet is to compile
the data into clear and meaningful information. Of course, you know what you spent for each
item on each day, but what were the totals for each day and for the week as a whole? For this
kind of calculation, you need to use formulas.
