There was once, a very long time ago, a dream of the paperless office. The advent of
computers was supposed to decrease our daily dependence on paper documents and shift the
emphasis to digital documentation. Paper manufacturers everywhere rejoice that indeed the
opposite occurred: paper consumption has gone through the roof! Of course, this doesn??™t bode
well for environmentalists, but that??™s another subject for a different book and author.
