When you??™re ready to send, click the Fax button. You can check the progress of your fax by
clicking the fax modem??™s icon in the Dock, just like when checking the status of print jobs.

Receive Faxes
To receive faxes, follow these steps:
1. Open the Print & Fax preferences pane and click the fax modem to highlight it in the
Printers list.
2. Enter your fax number in the Fax Number text field and then click the Receive Options
button above it (see Figure 8-12).
3. In the options dialog box, shown in Figure 8-13, check the ???Receive faxes on this
computer??? box and then set the other options to your liking. These options help you save
the faxes to a specific location on your hard drive (in PDF format), automatically print
your fax to a particular printer, or email the fax to any address you choose.
4. Click OK to return to the Print & Fax preferences pane. If you would like to share this
fax or show the status of your faxes in the main menu bar, check the appropriate boxes.
Faxing has never been so easy!
