"How to Do Everything: Mac"

You can do more than just enter scheduled events or tasks in iCal. You can set alarms for events
and set reminders that will tell you of an impending event; publish your calendars so that others can
subscribe to them and subscribe to calendars that have already been published on the Internet; and
synchronize your calendars with other devices such as your cell phone, iPhone, iPod, or PDA.
If your schedule is so jammed you can??™t remember everything, or if you??™re like me and can??™t
remember an appointment to save your life, iCal is here to save the day (no pun intended). The
default iCal interface is an exercise in simplicity, as you can see in Figure 9-3.

202 How to Do Everything: Mac
Create Calendars
Create calendars for different areas of your life to help keep things organized. For example, create
a calendar for entering payment due dates for your bills, another calendar to help you remember
the football schedule for your favorite team, and yet another calendar for your garden club events.
