"How to Do Everything: Mac"

To create a new calendar, choose File | New Calendar or click the + button in the bottom left
of iCal??™s window. Type a descriptive name for the new calendar when it appears in the calendar
list on the left side of the window. You may add as many calendars as you please.
Notice that as you add multiple calendars to iCal, each has its own assigned color. This
is to distinguish the events of one calendar from the events of another calendar. These
colors are automatically assigned by iCal but you can change them by clicking the
name of the calendar in the calendar list and choosing File | Get Info (or pressing z-I).
Choose the color you prefer from the pop-up menu to the right of the calendar name.
Grouping calendars is a good way to keep numerous calendars organized. Create a calendar
group by choosing File | New Calendar Group, and then enter the group??™s name. To add previously
created calendars to the group, just drag-and-drop them onto the group name. To add a new
calendar to the group, click the group name to highlight it and then choose File | New Calendar.
