"How to Do Everything: Mac"

iSync compares your Mac??™s contacts and calendars to those of your cell phone or
Palm-OS PDA, and then synchronizes them so that you have the same information on both devices.
Any changes you make on one device will be automatically detected by iSync and synchronized
on the other. For example, if you change your boss??™s phone number on your Mac, iSync will detect
that the number has changed since the last time you ran iSync, and will automatically make the
change to your boss??™s information on your PDA the next time you sync the two.
Your phone or PDA must use either USB or Bluetooth to connect to your Mac, and it must be
compatible with iSync. To check your device??™s compatibility with iSync, open Safari and see the
list of compatible devices at www.apple.com/isync/devices.html.
Add a Device to iSync
The first time you open iSync, you need to add a device for it to sync with. Choose Devices |
Add Device to add your cell phone or PDA to the device list. Unless you??™ve been exploring your
Mac on your own instead of following this book, you most likely haven??™t set up your cell phone
or PDA to connect with your Mac.
