"How to Do Everything: Mac"

Your Mac??™s audio input device, such as its built-in microphone,
feeds the data to QuickTime, which records it as a MOV file.
Video is recorded using either your video camera (connected via a FireWire cable) or your
Mac??™s built-in camera. Video files are also saved as MOV files, which you can convert to
whatever format you need.
Share Your Files Easily
Sharing your creations is a snap with QuickTime Pro. Open the file you wish to share, and
then choose File | Share. There are three options for sharing: via email, your personal webpage
(requires a .Mac account), or Podcast Producer (you must have a Mac OS X Server with Podcast
Producer installed).
Save QuickTime Files from the Internet
As you know, there??™s lots of great QuickTime content on the Web. Wouldn??™t it be great to be able
to save your favorite files to your Mac? QuickTime Pro gives you that option, as the menu in
Figure 10-6 shows.
