"How to Do Everything: Mac"

CHAPTER 11: Say Cheese! Managing Your Photos with iPhoto 231
Another way to easily make an album is to select the pictures you want to create an album
from in the Library, and then click File | New Album From Selection. Once you give the new
album a title and click Create, it shows up in your Sources list already populated with pictures.
If you have several pictures to add to an album, dragging them all one by one can be
a might tedious. To select multiple items, click the first item to highlight it, and then
press z and continue holding it down while clicking each additional picture you want
to select. Notice the thin yellow box that surrounds each picture you click; this indicates
the picture has been selected. When your selections are complete, release the z key and
then click one of the selected pictures and drag-and-drop it into the appropriate album;
all of the selected items are added to the album.
Smart Albums
iPhoto has another great way to organize your pictures called Smart Albums. Now, don??™t take
this to mean your other albums are stupid, but they aren??™t quite as bright as a Smart Album.
