"How to Do Everything: Mac"

A
Smart Album automatically adds items from your iPhoto Library when they meet the criteria you
specified when creating the Smart Album.
Make a new Smart Album by choosing File | New Smart Album, give the album a title, and
then add the criteria that must be met for a picture to be added to the album (click the + or ??“ button
232 How to Do Everything: Mac
to add or remove items, respectively, from the criteria list). Click OK to add the Smart Album to the
Sources list.
Put Together a Slideshow
One of iPhoto??™s slickest tricks is the ability to make a custom slideshow with your pictures,
complete with music and even the Ken Burns Effect.
To begin building your slideshow extravaganza, follow these steps:
1. Select the album you want to create the slideshow from or manually choose the pictures
you want to use from the Library.
2. Choose File | New Album and select Slideshow icon from the menu bar.
3. Type a name for your slideshow and click Create.
The slideshow appears in the Sources list and is populated with the pictures you selected. To
add pictures to the slideshow, just drag them from your iPhoto Library onto the slideshow in the
Sources list.
