"How to Do Everything: Mac"

That??™s it!
Chapter 13
iLights! iCamera! iAction!: Using iMovie
274 How to Do Everything: Mac
How to??¦
?–  Navigate the iMovie interface
?–  Bring your digital movies into iMovie
?–  Edit a movie
?–  Add music and titles to your movie
?–  Apply cool special effects
?–  Share your movies
Computers have certainly come a very long way since I first sat down in front of one in the
early 1980s. Back then, playing a game that consists of a couple of blocks and some text was
an incredible feat. It was also one that could take you days of typing in code from a magazine just
so you could enjoy such an experience.
Sounds pretty archaic, doesn??™t it? But today, with a Mac, I can do things that truly amaze.
I can connect a camera to my Mac, import the digital movies and images from the camera, create
and edit my own movie myself, and share it with family and friends hundreds of miles away.
Better yet, in some cases that process may only take minutes!
When Apple introduced iMovie, it was a godsend for people who love to take video of their
families and events, and even for those who make a living with their digital video camera.
