2. To import all the clips on the device, select Import All. To import most of the clips, select
Manual from the left side of the Import window, uncheck the boxes below the clips you
do not want to import, and then click the Import Checked button. If you want to import

only a few clips, select Manual on the left side of the Import window, click the Uncheck
All button, check the boxes only under the clips you do want to import, and then click
the Import Checked button.
3. Choose a Save To location. The disk you use must be a hard drive in your computer or one
that is connected externally with a FireWire cable. Be aware that USB drives will not work!
4. Decide whether to create a new Event or add the video to an existing Event. If you create
a new Event, be sure to give it a descriptive name.
5. Choose the size of your 1080i video, if this applies to your clips.
6. Click OK to begin importing your video. This process can take quite a while, possible
longer than an hour, depending on how much of the device??™s video you decided to import.
