"How to Do Everything: Mac"

To select video for the
project, click anywhere in the video clip, and iMovie places a yellow border box
around a four-second section of the clip.
You can shrink or expand this selection by clicking-and-dragging the
selection handles on either side of the yellow box.
To select an entire clip at once, hold down the OPTION key while clicking the clip.
CHAPTER 13: iLights! iCamera! iAction!: Using iMovie 283
Create an iMovie Project
Now that you??™ve imported your video, you need to begin creating a movie with it, so break
out your director??™s chair, beret, and megaphone! First, you need to create a new project. Apple
has been kind enough to provide a project called ???My First Project??? for us, but you??™re going to
politely pass on that and create your own. Press z-N or click the + button beneath the Project
Library window. Give the project a descriptive name, choose the aspect ratio you want to use
(Standard, iPhone, or Widescreen), and click Create. You are now ready to add video and music
to your new project.
Add Video to Your Project
A project won??™t be much good without video.
