"How to Do Everything: Mac"

To add video clips to your project:
1. Select an Event from the Event Library, and then make a selection from the clips
associated with it.
2. To add your selection to the project, click the Add to Project button in the
toolbar.
You can also drag the selection to the Project window and drop it in.
Play Favorites with Your Clips
I was always told it wasn??™t nice to play favorites, but when it comes to video, some is great
and some is just plain bad. My Mac only has so much hard drive space, and I only have so
much time; I don??™t want to spend either working with bad video.
iMovie lets you mark the really great video as a favorite, and it also lets you mark the
bad video for rejection (such a harsh term!). Before continuing, make sure the source filter
selector in the lower-left corner of the window is set to All Clips.
The marking buttons used to mark video selections are
located in the iMovie toolbar. The black star is the ???Mark as Favorite??? button,
the white star is the Unmark button, and the ???X??? is the Reject button.
Select the portion of video you want to mark, and then click the appropriate marking
button for the task: mark it either as a favorite selection or as a selection that needs to
be deleted (rejected).
