Mac preferences options.
If you don??™t have a .Mac account, you can try one free for 60 days. Sign up from the .Mac
preferences pane by clicking the Learn More button.
Once you??™ve signed into .Mac, the .Mac preferences pane includes four tabs: Account, Sync,
iDisk, and Back To My Mac.
Account
To change your account information and password, simply click the Account Details button,
which whisks you away to the .Mac website, which you can make the changes.

Sync
Sync is a great feature! Use the Sync tab to synchronize elements of your Mac with .Mac, such
as contacts, mail settings, and preferences. What??™s even cooler is that if you click the Advanced
button, you can set up multiple Macs to synchronize information with.
iDisk
Apple provides a certain amount of online storage for you when you open a .Mac account. You
can store anything you like on your iDisk, just as if it were a regular hard drive, but with one
great exception: you can access your iDisk from any computer anywhere. Use the iDisk tab of
