"How to Do Everything: Mac"

When
you go to your workplace from your home, the only thing you need do to get back on the
Internet is change your Location choice.
?–  Connection pane Look here for a list of the hardware connections your Mac can use to
connect to the Internet. Typically, Built-in Ethernet and AirPort are most frequently used,
but there are options for Bluetooth and FireWire as well (if you don??™t see them in the
connection pane, click the + button under the pane to add them to the list). This pane also
shows your current status for the hardware connection.

?–  Main settings window Look to this window to find the connection??™s basics, such as
how your Mac gets IP addresses and what those addresses are. Your ISP or your router??™s
documentation can help with any questions you may have about address configuration.
?–  Advanced Click this button to see detailed settings for each connection type. More
details on the advanced settings are provided in the next section.
?–  Assist Me Click this button to have your Mac diagnose connection problems or to help
you set up a new connection.
