"How to Do Everything: Mac"

A good reason for doing this would be to easily share files
on an internal network. Click the Help button (?) in the lower-right corner to learn how to host a
website from your Mac.
Remote Login
Secure Shell (SSH) is yet another network protocol your Mac has mastered. Remote Login
allows other computer users to access your Mac using this protocol. Click the + and ??“ buttons at
the bottom of the preferences pane to add and remove users, respectively. For security reasons,
keep this service turned off unless otherwise directed by your IT personnel.
CHAPTER 15: Making Your Mac Play Pretty with Other Computers 351
Remote Management
Remote Management allows a network admin running Apple??™s Remote Desktop software to have
full access to your Mac from their own computer. This is a great tool for troubleshooting from
across the office or across a university campus. Don??™t turn on this service unless you are told to
by your IT department. Click the + and ??’ buttons at the bottom of the preferences pane to add
and remove users, respectively.
