"How to Do Everything: Mac"

Choose which connection
you want to share from in the pop-up menu, and choose which protocols other Macs can use to
access your Internet share.
For various reasons, enabling Internet Sharing may be a big no-no with your ISP, so
check with your ISP before you turn on this service.
If you have a slow Internet connection, I would advise you to not enable Internet Sharing,
unless one of your pastimes is watching moss grow while waiting for websites to load.
354 How to Do Everything: Mac
Bluetooth Sharing
Choose how your Mac interacts with other Bluetooth devices. What actions should the Mac take
when receiving items from other devices? Which folder on the Mac should those items be saved
to? Are other devices allowed to browse your Mac, and if so, which folders?
Summary
You now should be able to share any file and any folder on your Mac with any computer you
want. Being able to move and copy files from and to other computers is what makes a network
a near necessity in most homes and an absolute necessity in a business. Being able to share with
Windows-based PCs means your Mac will feel right at home in any network, and it won??™t be the
oddball in the group because those PCs will all be able to share their files with your Mac, too.
