Over time (much faster than you might
think), you can build a vast collection of bookmarks that would take many hours to recompile
should you lose your bookmark list for any reason.
Exporting your bookmarks saves the list of links to a file that another browser can import,
instantly moving your lengthy list of addresses from one browser or Mac to another. To export

your bookmarks, choose File | Export Bookmarks, name your bookmarks, choose a location in
which to save them, and then click Save.
To import bookmarks into Safari, choose File | Import Bookmarks, browse for the bookmarks
file and select it, and then click Import.
Your imported bookmarks are shown as a collection in the Bookmarks/Collections pane, and
the name of the collection includes the date on which the bookmarks were imported.
