Mailbox Behaviors
The options on this tab let you store your notes in your Inbox for even easier access, decide when
Mail should erase Sent or Junk mail from their respective mailboxes, and choose how to handle
deleted messages. The options may differ depending on the account type (IMAP or POP).
???Store draft messages on the server??? keeps drafts on your ISP??™s mail server, where you can
access it from other computers. This option is only available for IMAP accounts.
Advanced
The Advanced tab is where you turn the current account on or off, have Mail check the account
for new mail automatically, decide whether or not to keep copies of emails on your ISP??™s server,

have Mail skip messages that are larger than the size specified, and set what port number and
authentication type are necessary for communication with your ISP??™s incoming mail server.
I highly recommend leaving the ???Remove copy from server after retrieving a message???
option unchecked. If you check this option, and you lose the emails that are stored on your
Mac, you won??™t be able to retrieve emails from your ISP.
