To set up a
custom junk mail filter, click the ???Perform custom actions??? radio button in the ???When junk
mail arrives??? section of the Junk Mail preferences pane, and then click the Advanced button
at the bottom of the pane to see these configuration options:
Click the + and ??’ buttons to the right of the conditions menus to add and remove criteria
from the list. Do the same for the actions to modify what happens to mail meeting the
previous conditions.

Fonts & Colors
This preferences pane simply allows you to change Mail??™s default fonts and colors.
Viewing
It??™s your Mail, so mailboxes should show your email the way you want them to! That??™s exactly
what these options are all about.

The Show Header Detail option enables you to tell Mail how you want the header
information to appear in your emails. Headers are the information you see at the top of the email
when you first open it, such as From, Subject, Date, and To.
The four check boxes under the pop-up menu enable you to specify whether to show the
status of your iChat buddies in your e-mails, whether to show in bold font messages that haven??™t
been read, whether to show pictures and graphics in emails, and whether Mail should use Smart
Addresses (when an email is typed, the name of the recipient is automatically inserted into the
address field, not the actual address).
