"How to Do Everything: Mac"

Having the ability to
read RSS feeds in Mail keeps you from constantly switching between applications to keep up
with the day??™s events in a separate RSS reader.
To add RSS feeds to the Mailboxes pane, choose File | Add RSS Feeds. This opens a window
with more RSS feeds than you??™ll ever have to time to read! Choose your favorites from this
precompiled list, or add your own feed by typing its address in the Feed URL field (click the
Other button in the bottom-left corner if you don??™t see this field), and then click Add.
CHAPTER 17: Mail Call! 397
RSS feeds are displayed in the Mailboxes pane just like inboxes. To read a feed, just click it
in the Mailboxes pane and select an article that interests you from the list. The article displays in
the message viewer in the bottom pane.

Summary
By now you have a thorough understanding of how Mail performs its most basic tasks, but don??™t
stop here. To discover more of Mail??™s capabilities, explore Mail Help (Help | Mail Help). Your
personal post office should be humming along in no time, and don??™t be surprised when your
friends and family start asking you for pointers on how to make their email look as good as yours
(the answer??™s easy: tell them to get a Mac!).
