???I??™m sorry, come again????
Okay, that last one may have been a little whimsical, at best. Apple and Microsoft haven??™t
always been the best of buddies, but they haven??™t exactly been the worst of enemies. Alright,
maybe I??™m stretching that a bit, too. Regardless, both companies are still around after decades of
competing with one another. Apple makes software for Windows, Microsoft makes software for
Mac OS X, and the world still spins on its axis and revolves around Sol.
The inclusion of Intel processors into the Mac lineup has opened up all kinds of possibilities
for computer users. No longer are people who must use Windows for whatever reason forced
to buy an inferior machine, and no longer are Mac users unable to run some Windows-only
applications that some businesses insist on using (usually unnecessarily). How can I make such
claims? Because of this one word: Boot Camp.
Boot Camp is a utility Apple developed to help Mac users install Microsoft Windows on their
Mac.
Apple doesn??™t provide you a copy of Windows! You have to obtain your own copy
of Microsoft Windows to install it on your Mac.
