"How to Do Everything: Mac"

?–  Digital still camera To get photos from your digital camera into iPhoto, you have to
connect your camera and Mac. Apple hasn??™t quite perfected osmosis as a means of data
transfer for the Mac, although I suspect someone in its secret labs is feverishly working on it.
?–  Speakers Computer speakers used to sound as good as tin cans, but today they can
provide amazingly rich sounds, even deep, booming bass. A really good set of speakers is
a must if you plan to use your Mac as an entertainment hub.
?–  Graphics tablet Graphics tablets are alternative input devices that let you ???digitally
draw??? on your Mac. Graphic artists and photographers also use them to touch up photos.
?–  Trackball Trackballs are another alternative input device for your Mac. Remember
the old-style computer mouse that used a small ball on the bottom whose movements
controlled those of the pointer on your screen? Trackballs are kind of like those mice,
except the ball is on the top. They are considered to be less harmful to your wrists than a
standard mouse.
To add a device to your Mac, you simply need to determine the kind of connection it uses,
and then attach its cable to its corresponding port on your Mac.
