There will be a time when your home??™s
roof leaks, its tiles blow off, or a tornado decides the roof looks better on your neighbor??™s new
motor home. And just as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow, somewhere down the line your
computer will act a little funny, a program will begin crashing rather consistently, or horror of
tech horrors, you hear a not-so-funny grinding sound that sounds suspiciously like your hard
drive going down the tubes. A problem may occur a week after using your computer, or it may
happen ten years down the road, but just like death and taxes, computer trouble is unavoidable.
The worst thing you can do is panic. Although it??™s hard not to sometimes, I??™ve yet to see the
problem that panic actually resolves. Please understand, I??™m not preaching??¦I??™m speaking from
experience. My best advice is to tell you to ride out that first wave of panic, then settle down
and solve the problem. You??™ll be happy to learn that most problems are easily resolved with very
little muss or fuss.
