"How to Do Everything: Mac"

There, I said it! Actually, that wasn??™t a hard thing to
admit at all, because I??™ve used many of the major third-party disk utilities and antivirus software
programs. Some of these offerings by other companies (who aren??™t Apple but love the Mac as
much as you and I) are fantastic first choices when it comes to troubleshooting Mac system
problems. Mind you, these tools aren??™t free (developers have to eat, too, you know), but they??™re
worth every penny when in a pinch, trust me (been there, done that).
Do your own research regarding third-party applications; some would argue that they are
unnecessary on Mac OS X, but others swear by them. Make your own informed decisions before
plunking down your hard-earned cash.
Consider Third-Party Disk Utility Software
Here are three of what I consider to be the best of the best when it comes to disk utilities:
?–  Alsoft DiskWarrior Alsoft has made disk utility software for the Mac for more than
20 years, according to its website; I know they??™ve been around as long as I??™ve used
Macs, which is going on 13 years now.
