?– Be cooperative. Don??™t jump all over the place performing tasks totally different from one
the technician is asking you to do.
?– Remember, the technician is not hiding the answer from you. If they have the answer
they will give it to you. Their job performance is often judged by how quickly they can
resolve problems, so rest assured they aren??™t trying to give you a runaround because they
have to ask a few questions of you.
?– Call the right people! Try to narrow down your problem as best you can, and if it looks
like the issue may indeed lie with a third-party application you installed yesterday,
contact the maker of that application first before contacting Apple. Likewise, if you??™re
having a problem printing from one Mac on your network but the other 60 Macs can
print fine to the same printer, the issue most likely rests with the single Mac, meaning
you should probably first call Apple and not the printer manufacturer.
Keep these tips in mind and you will find that calling tech support isn??™t so bad after all.
