Some
updates simply add small features to an application, or fix a little-used function of it, and
other updates fix major problems that could cause disruptions in usage or, much worse, loss
of data. Important updates may even close ???holes??? in programs, especially those that access
the Internet for their functionality (Safari, Mail, and so forth), which could potentially allow
malicious hackers to gain control of your system. I??™d say those kinds of updates merit being
termed ???important??? over the others.
