Use a Third-Party Graphical
Maintenance Utility
If you don??™t like working in Terminal, there are lots of third-party utilities out there that help
you run the maintenance procedures just described via a graphical user interface. Some of
the most popular are OnyX and MacJanitor. I suggest you go to VersionTracker??™s site and
search the System/Utilities section to find the latest and greatest of these utilities. If you
decide to go with one of these programs, be certain that it is compatible with the version of
Mac OS X you are running!
