"How to Do Everything: Mac"

That
also means to remove the battery if the Mac is a laptop.
Since you want your Mac to look its best, be sure to never use any common household
cleaning products on it like a window cleaner, aerosol, or abrasives. Any product containing
ammonia, acetone, or alcohol is an instant no-no! Also, never spray a liquid onto the Mac,
because it can be difficult to control the amount of flow; the liquid may drip into cracks and
crevices and wreak all kinds of unholy havoc on your innocent Mac.
???Well, good grief! What am I supposed to use??”harsh language????
The first tool in your cleaning kit should be a very soft, lint-free cloth. Some Macs even
come with a cleaning cloth in the box. Item number two? A little dash of clean, crisp water!
Barely dampen the cloth and gently wipe the surfaces of the Mac, as well as its screen, to make it
look like new again.
If you just have to use a cleaning product, Apple recommends iKlear by Meridrew Enterprises.
You can see more about the product at the company??™s website, www.klearscreen.com.
Summary
After this chapter, you should be a pro at maintaining your Mac??™s overall health and attitude, but
don??™t be lulled into thinking you??™re forever and always safe from potential mishaps.
