?– Burn To burn a CD or DVD of a disk image, click this button and browse your Mac
for the disk image.
?– Mount To ???mount??? a disk means to make it available for use by the Mac, and to
???unmount??? obviously performs the reverse. You cannot mount or unmount your startup
disk (the disk your Mac is using to run itself with). The Mac OS X startup disk is always
mounted, and cannot be unmounted.
?– Eject Clicking this button ejects only ejectable media, such as CDs, DVDs, and disk
images. Ejecting a disk image is essentially unmounting it.
?– Enable Journaling Mac OS X uses Journaling to protect the integrity of its file systems.
Journaling keeps a record of changes made to files on the disk. If there is a power failure or
some other traumatic failure, Mac OS X can look back at the journal to restore the Mac??™s
files to a time when they were in a known-good condition. If Journaling is already enabled
for a disk, this option is grayed out.
?– New Image Click a disk in the sources list and
then click the New Image button to create a new
disk image from the selected disk.
